Continuing a discussion of ruins in the exhibition context through the lens of obsolescence, with a special focus on new media ruins — photography, video art, digital art/architecture, and archives which house especially unstable media. With particular interest in creative approaches to conservation that pose questions about reinterpreting obsolete formats or irreplicable circumstances.

Readings for this meeting will be a packet of excerpts from texts by Rosalind Krauss, László Moholy-Nagy, The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, Mirko Zardini, Dragan Espenschied, Variable Media Network, Günther Anders, and Jacques Derrida.
